About Katie & Jo

Katie Perkins

Date of Birth:
07/07/1988
Claim to Fame:

Once held a Guinness World Record: Most Tennis Balls Caught in 1 Minute (33 tennis balls). As seen on NZ Smashes Guinness World Records.

Katie’s passions in life revolve around cricket, actively serving others and making the most of her opportunities in life.

Katie has recently been named on the NZ White Ferns team (that is cricket). This has been a goal of hers since she was 5 years old. It is primarily thanks to Jo that Katie has made it...the hours of practice in their front yard have really made all the difference.
It could also be to do with her "dangerous" batting and "world-class" fielding (quoted from real important cricket people).

She is currently working at New Zealand Rugby League as Administration Support. She is also looking at joining the police force in the next few years.

After seeing a presentation on the plight of the ‘leaking women’ of Africa, Katie felt she needed to respond. Doing a walk that represents the journey of these girls was what Katie felt would be the best way to use what she has, to do more for these women.
